To put on, or not put on your panties... that is the question.

Opanchu Usagi is a character created by artist KAWAISOUNI! ( 可哀想に!). She sports an iconic blue bow, teary and wobbly eyes not unlike the pleading (ぴえん) emoji, and a pair of bloomer-like panties. Her birthday is August 2nd, making her a Leo. Though she suffers many misfortunes, you can't help but adore her and pity her at the same time. Opanchu is truly 可哀想 ! I hope you will come to adore her too. Behold, the Opanchu Usagi song:

I first discovered her creator's YouTube account years back with her TWICE Concert Report video. Soon after, she began posting more videos about her characters, including Npochamu and Opanchu. Though I still love Npochamu and her friend Kimimaro, it was Opanchu who truly stole my heart. I found her plights relatable, and the way she still keeps moving forward despite it all very inspiring. Opanchu reminds us that even in the face of bad luck, we can still laugh it off and do our best.

The first thing one of my artist mutuals told me after I introduced Opanchu to her. I'll never forget it, LOL.

Everything was gifted to me. I love my little collection! The very first piece I got was the fuzzy scrunchie at an anime convention in 2024.
